I'm considering upgrading my dv6t-6100 to the Kingston Hyperx 1866 Ram (KHX1866C11S3P1K2/8G). I heard good things about it, but does anyone here know the RAM that is included with our systems? I know I have 8 GB, but I don't know the speed/brand. I wanted to sell my current RAM on ebay to help offset the costs of the upgrade, but don't really know how to advertise it or if eBay is even the best place to sell it.

    Anyone have any info?

I read in a review its just run of the Mill hynix or Samsung 1333Mhz. IN regard to the hyperX ram I hear the biggest improvement is the Intel 3000 HD runs faster. Otherwise 1333Mhz you won't notice it much in the real world. Just your pocket and WEI is up 0.x

I would put that money towards an SSD :)

    All,

Thanks for the great advice. I have been looking at SSD's, but they are quite pricey at the moment, and a bit more complicated to install than the RAM. I am not quite sure which SSD to buy, let alone how to install it and how to transfer all the data from my current drive to the new one. I know I would need one that is at least 120gb+, which gets to be quite cost prohibitive.
