I have an HP dv6000 laptop, and have a question. I disabled the User Account control, so I wouldn't get all those stupid pop-ups. By doing so, it somehow stopped my battery from charging. It took me hours to figure out this was the reason. Once I re-enabled the User Account Control, the battery began to charge again.

Is there anyway to Disable User Account Control AND have the battery continue to charge?

I dont think there is any link between the battery recharging and the UAC control. I have disabled UAC and no problems with my battery charging. It must be something else. Have you plugged in your adaptor properly?
