Is that possible? Can I switch my Inspiron memory into an Hp dv2000 or 6000?

If your Inspiron's memory is DDRII SODIMM, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be able to.

There is no such thing as dell secific memory or hp specific memory. They are all standardized(although there are different standards) and as mujutaba mentioned if it is 200pin DDR2 SODIMM's then you can use them on the HP systems.
