    Well, yeah you could but HP has all the drivers you will need to install XP on the drivers section for the 8510p. So, installing should be fairly pain free. In any case you will have to slipstream SATA drivers to install XP in the first place. I dont think you will be saving much time by letting that software install the drivers for you.
