    Hello guys,

As you know there is two HP QuickPlay one to power on Unit without launching Windows and the second for windows.

I have a DV9205ea shiped with Vista and when I try to power it on with Quick Play Button it launch windows and after that QuickPlay ...

I would like to know if it's normal or it's an issue with this laptop ?
    I have a dv2000 which launch Quickplay directly ....

    Thank you

I don't believe the new Vista systems ship with a separate Quickplay partition. Playing with them at Best Buy I noticed they didn't have the installer for it any longer -- just the Windows version. You can look in Windows Disk Management to see if the 1 GB Quickplay Partition exists, but I don't think it does.

Mm.. that's unfortuante.. So then what happens if you press the QuickPlay or DVD button while the machine is off. Does it just launch Vista? :-\

ThunderRiver -- yeah, unfortunately. And if you run HP's Vista Upgrade Utility one of the things it does is remove your existing Quickplay partition and merge the free space back in with your primary partition.
