My personal laptop is a HP Compaq nx6310. I usually forget to take my laptop's charger when i am taking it to work. Buying a new charger is pretty expense when i enquired. At work i have a dell laptop. I was wondering the dell charger instead of the hp's.
In my charger:
INPUT: 100-240V ~ 1.6A
OUTPUT: 18.5V 3.5A
Dell's charger:
INPUT: 100-240 V ~1.5A
OUTPUT: 19.5V 3.34A
I know that there is a difference. But not sure if it can do any harm. Pls reply.

It may not cause harm right away, but it might in the long run. I don't recomend using the Dell's charger on the HP laptop since watts might be different too.

Even if it did work, I wouldn't trust it. Watts could be different, but either/or could have different tolerances of noise and feedback circuitry that could RUIN either part.

I would think after you run down your laptop battery a couple of times you would remember to take the charger to work with you.

I would not trust anything coming from Dell. Period.

Technically it should be fine. Its lower watt lower amp which means it wont fry your battery. But it's not what the laptop was designed for so I wouldn't use it.

I'd be more concerned with the voltage difference than the watts.
