This site is in Korean but it has great pics of these machines.
    Check it out...
I am planning to buy one of these
but first I need to see them in a store or somewhere.

I currently use Compaq Armada M300 which is very thin and light(3lbs)
It has a battery that sticks from the outside of the machine.
Battery acts like a stand at the back and gives laptop an angle.
This is a great feature when typing.
I believe 12-cell battery on V2000 and DV1000 might be a good feature for both ventilation (since air flows bottom) and typing. And dont forget more than 6 hrs of battery life.

Man, you hit the motherload of pictures of these elusive units! VERY helpful for those of us considering a purchase. BTW, I was told by a Circuit City sales guy that they will be getting a variant of the DV1000 (DV1030US) in the stores within the next week...hopefully.

I had NO IDEA the compaq would be BLACK on the outside TOP!!! Very good to know. They only reason I was considering it over the HP was the sleek silver look....but with a comepletely black outer shell I think I would prefer the DV1000. Good to know since I would have been giving up the instant play and dual headphone jacks for nothing.

Yeah, ive seen the pics here in the review. However, aozdemir76's link is the next best thing to seeing them in person. For example, before seeing them I would not have known the Compaq had a black lid. By "elusive" I meant finding one locally.

This post is almost 10 months old and out dated. If you're looking for pictures of the V2000 or DV1000, you can goto the links I posted or goto the Gallery Database on the main page of this site.
