Interested with V2000 with 12 cell battery. The only doubt is how the thick battery protrudes from the bottom.
I need a close-up picture to see how bad it looks, or affects me when using it. Can someone attach a photo , esp from the side to show how it protrudes from the bottom ?

How many hours will I get with 12 cell battery for normal use (browsing, typing, excel, etc) ?
Which one will give the most batttery life ? Pentium M or Duo core ?
In term of performance, will Duo core outperform signicantly P-M ?

Hmm...I wish I had a digital camera so I could take a pic but I don'e. It raises up the back of my laptop 3/4 of an inch. Although I have the v4000t it uses the same battery. I get around 4hrs with this battery. I am sure you would get more battery life with the v2000. I wouldn't worry about the 12 cell. It just makes the laptop weigh more but other than that it has worked out well. It is actually pretty nice because it props up the back enough to let air flow freely to the fans. It also helps when typing. I know I saw a pic of the battery on this site but I can't remember where.
    Hope this helps,
    Tim

    Here ya go...

I placed a AA battery next to the laptop for comparison.

The 12-cell battery gives me ~6 hours of use with my L2005 (AMD Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz).
The battery adds ~0.5 lbs to carry, but it's worth it IMHO.

    Hope that helps! :)
