I reinstalled Windows on my notebook and noticed that my memory was locked in at 160MHz. I'm not 100% positive, but I think I remember it running at the full 200MHz after I flashed my BIOS to F.24 prior to reinstalling Windows. I tried reverting to an older BIOS but kept getting the message that it wasn't meant for my board. Any thoughts?

Is your CPU running at 800 mhz when you check the memory speed? try running something that will put the CPU at 100% (like prime95) and plug into A/C power... make sure CPU is running at 2GHz and check again.

You know, I thought the throttling of the CPU wouldn't matter... but you're right. Just tried zipping a large file. Must be an added feature of the new BIOS.

I also see the same behaviour. But I am not sure if it is the bios or the CPUz reporting changed. Because if I run 1.31 version, it reports running at DDR400 speed irrespective of CPU speed. But CPUz version 1.33 reports DDR speed 160Mhz when there is no load and jumping up when load comes up and running at 200Mhz.
So, based on your statements above I am guessing that the change is in CPUz reporting, rather than bios. Probably bios has been doing this downclocking from the earlier bios itself, but CPUz could not detect the memory down clocking. -
Possibly... I just remember CPU-Z always reporting 200MHz till I looked today.

Yes, that is the case. CPUz release notes for 1.33 says this
ODC (Odd Divisor Correct) for Athlon64 rev. E (update 1.33.1), Turion current revision being E5.
But I am not sure, which one is correct, as same authors ClockGen reads the memory as well as FSB as 200Mhz same time.
