ok so i havent really noticed it for a while but recently my hard drive has become umbearably warm lately! i mean its come to the point where it gets to hot to use and i have to put it in hibernate. is there anything i can do to make it cooler besides using one of those useless notebook coolers. also does it matter what kind of hard drive you would have?

cause i am planning on getting a larger hard drive and just wanted to make sure i dont get the one that gets really hot like this one.
also does that void the warranty?^

Try to check your temperature with HDTune. And why should a notebook cooler be useless, I mean a lot of people use notebook coolers to keep there temps even lower so they can overclock their videocards a bit and so they dont have burned palms, like you have now I guess.

Ask HP if replacing an hard drive avoids warranty.

The Zalman notebook cooler lowered my dv9000t HDD and CPU temps 11C. Useless=NOT
