I got my dv6000t a couple of days back, and i cant seem to use the integrated "1.3MP" webcam to take pictures at 1.3MP (1152*864). The best resolution i can get is 640*480, which is 0.3MP.
Has anyone been able to get real 1.3MP pictures (not software interpolated)?
Thanks!

yah, its actually a .35 MP camera, no fun.

err... so why did they say that its 1.3MP? there must be a way...

The screenshots taht I have seen look too good for 0.3MP (dv6000 review here). By the way, isn't 640*480 equal to 0.7 MP?

The photos mine takes seem to be better than my cell phone's camera, and it's a 1.3MP as well.
Anywho, I don't really care what MP the camera is... Not like it's being using for photography or anything... Just video chats and the like, which looked fine to me when I had some... -
I recently purchased a dv2000t. After installing Vista, I found I needed a program record from my webcam. I found a program called Active Webcam from www.pysoft.com . When you setup the webcam in this program, you can choose from a list of supported resolutions. Though the default is 640x480 (0.3 MP), 1280x960 (1.3 MP) is an available option as well. I would assume this would be true of most webcam programs, though knowing HP they may not have included a program capable of viewing the 1.3 MP images live.
Hope this helps.
VGA webcam on dv2000/dv6000 falsely advertised as 1.3MP?
