    Any one try these yet?

Are they any good, or are we still living with a terrible fan speed? Mine has been so bad lately, probably do to the summer heat (even in my AC). I'm really thinking about getting a new HDD eventually, just because the newer 7200RPMs are supposed to run so much cooler.

I haven't tried the f.27 BIOS either...waiting to hear some opinions first. I'm still using f.16 since it doesn't seem to have any issues.

    Anyone else?

Been running it for about a week now. Switched to it from BIOS F.16. Fans seam to run more, but at a lower level... Still Very annoying sound. That being said I do run VMware Workstation 6.0 on the box, so even while "idle" over utilize resources.

I installed this bios on my dv6000t. I was running f.16 previous. After a few days I started seeing more registry errors, hanging on startups and shutdown, and even got the "blank screen when resuming from sleep mode" that this was supposed to fix. (I never had this problem before). The only thing that had changed was the Bios. The high-pitched whine was no better either. The fan runs less, never seems to reach the higher speeds no matter what is going on, the left palm rest is warmer (though NOTHING like f.26) and the air coming out of the vent when the fan is running is MUCH hotter than when running f.16. I reverted back to f.16 and I'm staying there barring some fantastic fix or revelation from HP on the next release.
