Finally got around to putting this in. I removed my optical drive and put the Momentus drive there and a 256gb OCZ Vertex 4 (Sata 3) drive in the HDD caddy.

The reason I got the Vertex 4 was because I got it for $195 on sale at Newegg and also because I only know it will be faster when I upgrade laptops eventually.

So now to the fun part, benchmarks. Remember this is a Sata 2 connection. Regardless I feel like it does alright.

And just for comparison here is a benchmark on the 500gb Momentus HDD.

Boot time took a noticeable drop down to around 22 seconds for the logon screen and about 31 seconds to load up the desktop. This is compared to about a minute flat with just the Momentus drive.

Windows Index score is also 7.6.
