You may have to call HP customer service to get help. If everything else on your computer is working except the internet it may be that your router is not configured correctly after you did the system recovery. You might actually start by calling your internet service provider for help and if that does not do it then call HP customer service. Maybe someone else has some ideas?

Go into Bios and disable the native SATA. See if this takes care of the problem. After the Sata drivers have been installedd and the restore is finish go back into bios and enable the native SATA. I hope this helps.

    A. What model is your Presario??

    B. Did it come with any CD/DVD's??

    C. If it didnt come with any CD/DVD, then did you burn the recovery discs like HP asks you to?? - If you didnt burn the discs then you"ll have to call HP and order a replacement disc.

    D. What did you use to do this System recovery?? Your own Win XP disc or did you just do a System Restore(which is a different thing)??
