I picked up a m2105us from a black friday sale last year and it works pretty good for most uses but I've had some issues while programming....basically 1024x768 is a little weak when running eclipse or visual studio....

The idea is basically to switch the display with another display which can handle a higher resolution...the current display is the standard 15", why this comes as a question is I had a pair of inspiron 3700/3800 series laptops, did a complete tear-apart and swap of components to get a better display and processor....upping the resolution on said system from 800x600 to 1024x768, now what I'm wondering if something similar can be done on more modern compaqs?

In theory if the cabling was the same, along with the physical dimensions of the display panel it should be do-able, but I've yet to see any posting anywhere of such a mod.
