    Hello.

For the past couple of weeks I have been trying to figure out how to fix the problem when playing videos using my intel hd graphics (i have switchable graphics). Whenever I try to play a video this happens: watching videos on my intel hd graphics card. However this doesn't happen why using my 6770 m graphics card. Furthermore the file type avi still works when using the integrated intel hd. All others (mkv, mp4, m2ts) all experience the same distorted picture.

I was wondering if this is a driver problem although it says my drivers are up to date (went to device manager and checked for updates).

    Any advice would be helpful.
    Thanks. :)

Try update to the latest version of your media player.

If that doesn't work, disable DXVA/hardware video acceleration in the settings of your media player.
