    So, i'm planning to buy

    HP Pavilion dv6-6077er LM602EA
    With I7 2630QM and Amd6770.

And from what i know, there are 2 video cards, intel and ati. But how switch mechanism work?

On my current m11x r1 i have to press FN+F6 and this will switch videocards, and i also have to use special dell driver. So when dell decide to forget about my laptop, i won't see any driver update. Opposite, on r2 and r3 of my laptop, official "nvidia optimus" technology used, and it works with official nvidia driver without a problem.

So my question is, how does switch mechanism works on subj laptop?

Same idea, except the switch is done by software.

As for drivers, you need special HP drivers in order to switch.
So you pretty much suffer the same fate as before.

There are workaround to install the official AMD driver if you don't mind some instability or some loss in minor features.

Some hope - your series is the base model for AMD Dynamic Switchable (AMD's Optimus) if they ever release or continue.

By software? What to you mean? It switches from intel to amd and back according to video card load?

it's as simple as it sounds, by software as in if you want to switch from one to another, go into the software and click switch.. it's set up so that if you unplug the battery it will ask you to switch to the intel gpu to save battery, and vise versa when you plug it in..

By software, what I meant is exactly the same idea as the hardware switch that you had to do (fn-f6) except it is done with a software prompt.
