I've got Vista 64 installed and everything is working fine (except the webcam which is a known issue).

I know quickplay direct will never work with Vista due to the new bootloader (I read somwhere that factory installed Vista machines don't even have the QPD partition).

So the question is, does anyone have the quickplay stand alone app for Vista in their swsetup directory? I installed the XP version and it starts but crashes when disk playback starts.

    Thanks!!

Check the Vista drivers stickied thread for a link to the new QuickPlay 3 app for Vista. It works on Vista-32 and Vista-64. Once you have it installed, there's also an update available from within the application.

While the fact that the preloaded Vista nbs don't have the QPD partition is accurate, you can fix it so that QDP will actually run with Vista loaded. I've got XP on C and Vista on D and am using the bcd from Vista (maintained by Vistabootpro).

For me there is an issue with the new BIOS for the DV6000Z and Vista that affects QPD running on battery, but the previous version works fine. Can't tell what the problems other models might have.
