    HP dv9500t machine

I now have a Vista Home Premium System 32bit. I have a legitimate copy of the 64bit Vista Ultimate (HP's 64 bit recovery disc and code key from my other computer) which I would rather not install but am interested in going to 32bit Ultimate.

If I get a 32bit Anytime upgrade disc, can I use my 64bit Vista Ultimate product key to upgrade to a 32bit Vista Ultimate system.

    OR

Anyway to downgrade from a 64bit Ultimate system to a 32bit Ultimate system.

Don't quote me, and wait for someone else's confirmation, that being said I believe the key code is independent of the 32-bit or 64-bit formatting.

Quoted, ha. I second the answer, especially since Ultimate comes with 32-bit and 64-bit discs in the retail package.

YES, you can use the same KEY for 32 or 64 Vista's. But don't install the 64 as you might have troubles with drivers and the 32-bit soft will work slower.

HP supports 64-bit on their Pavilion line and has all the drivers available on their website.

I meant, 3-rd party drivers like digital camera or camcorder. I have had trouble with my SONY camcorder and all the 32-bit soft worked slower...So, after 3 hours of having 64 Ultimate I have decided to turn back to 32-bit and never regret it.

True, this is just the compromise you have to make. Either a faster Vista with 64-bit, or (near) full compatibility with 32-bit. Choose what's right for you.
