My clock on my HP dv6000 resets every time it hybernates. Why?
I'm using Vista.
-
It could be a BIOS issue. Have you tried updating your BIOS to the latest version from the HP website?
-
What time and date does it go back too?
-
it's usually about 2 hours off.
I should be up to date on HP updates, and it doesnt show anything availible for me. -
Check your time zone. I had the same problem up until I realized that the time zone was off. This should help. The only other reason it would be doing this, is the CMOS battery which I highly doubt is the problem, because then it would go back to the year 2000.
Try it and lemme know how it goes. -
You are my hero.
I was to frustrated that it kept resetting on me to realize the time zone thing.
A couple of the nights I worked until 2am, not realizing that midnight had passed two hours before. -
Could be the cmos battery
-
nope. It was the time zone.
