HP does not ship any restore DVD's. You will have to either buy them separately or burn them after you receive the laptop. But they do(in some cases) include the Vista anytime upgrade DVD which can be used to do a clean install(see the first link in the windows guidses sticky). The anytime upgrade DVD can also be purchased from MS for around $10 as well.

Thanks. I think I will just burn them when I receive it.

when you get the laptop just search "recovery manager" in the start bar search thing. run the program recovery manager click advanced options in the bottom left corner, check the bubble for recovery disk creation. i know that wasn't your question but miner already took care of that for you just saving you some reading

The one you burn yourself is much more complete, as it contains the build customization for the unit. I have both.

The ones you burn include the CRAPWARE!!!

It should come with an anytime upgrade DVD or whatever its called. Do your self a favore and do a clean install.

So if I use the anytime upgrade dvd, all of the bloatware will be removed. Correct?
