I installed Vista from the HP Upgrade disk a little over a week ago. Ever since then, I have some software that will not run(particularly the installer). Programs that I can't install. Lastest build of Adobe 8.0 Reader, Hamachi 1.0.2.0, 1.02-223_purevideo_decoder_oem, MS Windows Mobile Device drvupdate-x86, Latest version of iTunes.

They all end with something along the lines of ________ program stopped working. Oddly enough it is when I install one of the above programs. Naturally MS doesn't offer any solutions at least yet. I thought I would ask the forum thinking that someone else may be experiencing this too.

    I own a DV9030US with 2 gb of memory with T5500 Core 2 Duo.

Will be interested to see the replies of what I may try next.

yeah, i'm experiencing the same problems with some programs like pspvideo9 and other video encoding softwares. I'm just waiting for either the software to update or a major update for Vista (like sp1)

Some programs like pspvideo9 just don't work yet. Others, like Adpbe Reader, have specific issues with certain configurations. To install Adobe Reader, run the installer in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode, and as an administrator. It should work. Latest iTunes should work fine... though it never hurts to run the install as an admin, either.

Thanks for the advise. I have already tried that for the Adobe install...and some of the others too. Same story unfortunately. Hopefully there will be more ideas.
