    Vista and Broadcom

    :mad: reactly my broadcom WLAn card stopped working. i pushed the botton for wi-fi and it says that it has been diable in the device manger. I go the the device manager and it saying that the device cannot start code 10. i have download different drivers and i have gone to the extend of a complete system recvoery. going back all the way the shipped factory defaults. and guess what.. nothin. any ideas? :mad:


    i also have a compaq presario C500

    This may sound stupid, and I don't know if it'll work since you have vista, but did you try going to start>Connect to>Wireless Network Connection? (Or whatever the vista equivalent to that is; I'm not very familiar with vista).

    try a BIOS update

    Try go to add remove and remove the broadcom drivers

    then rebooting and get newest ones from you laptop maker

    I had the same problem. It seems like the latest updates are knocking off the Broadcom driver. It won't even detect the card afterwards. It quite frustrating.

    i had the same problem... sent my notebook to hp to fix it
