I'm curious about what drivers dv6000t owners are using with Vista on their NVIDIA 7400 graphics cards. There are a lot of drivers out there -- HP has 98.15 on their server, and Windows Update keeps suggesting something earlier -- but which one seems to be the most stable choice for gaming on the 7400 (x86)? I've been using the 100.70 beta driver from laptopvideo2go since April, and while I don't have any major complaints, I still don't feel like I'm getting the most out of my card yet.

Is the latest driver the greatest? Are the 101-series drivers a better choice for the 7400 than the 150-series? Do any drivers raise the Vista Experience score above 3.3? Are there any recent drivers to avoid?

    I have tried several drivers...no luck...still got 3.3...lol
the point is no matter which driver you use, it doesn't really matter, cause you ain't gonna see some sky rocketing performance boost in games.
However, I do hope a finalized driver comes out soon for Vista.

I'm currently using the modded ForceWare 165.01 driver from laptopvideo2go, really slight performance increase compare to the HP stock drivers, and more resolution options in games...

Just follow the directions in their FAQ and Forums.

    Here are my steps:

    1. Go To http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista For All available Vista 32Bit Drivers.

    2. Choose a driver you wish to download...
Click on the download icon for direct driver download.
Click on the driver version number, and you will be brought to a forum webpage, from there you can view the compatible graphic cards, more detailed information on the release, driver download etc.

    3. After you have downloaded the driver, double-click it to extract its contents. (the suggested default Desktop directory should be fine)

    4. Now download the modded .INF configuration file in order to install the driver. And save the .INF in the same folder (the extracted folder). When prompted to replace file, choose yes.

    5. Now you can proceed on installing the driver, just go to that folder, double-click on "Install" or "Setup" or something similar.

Restart your system after installation finishes. And done
