Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has any insight on whether or not switching from XP Pro 32Bit to Vista Business 32Bit on the laptop I have below would be worthwhile.
I will end up installing Vista Business on it when I have the time (which isn't right now) so I can see any difference myself, just wondering if I might get a little bit extra performance and or battery life out of it. Any comments would be great guys.

You need 2GB ram, otherwise it grinds to a halt
And check if the graphics card is supported by Vista -
brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
It'll work... painfully. I strongly advise against it. Vista is a serious resource hog.

Get a new hard drive ( samsung HM160HC ) 2gb's of ram and a better cpu ( turions on ebay are cheap. You will be just fine and could even run 64 bit then. Im running vista with 2gb's of ram and a samsung hm160hc on a pentium 4 2.66ghz laptop it runs just fine. Infact i think vista runs better on older laptops then newer ones anyways.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I should have mentioned Im not looking to inject cash into the v2405.....I have a dv5 and an desktop so I figured maybe this could be a way of getting a bit more performance out of it without the investment.
I have purchased a TL-28 off eBay....some reason the laptop doesn't like it (incompatibility, defective CPU, etc.).
2GB would be nice as well as the hard drive, but again I would like to hold off on the upgrading.
I guess I have dug a nice little hole under these circumstances havent I.
Vista on a v2405? Worth it??
