just wondering, when i receive my upgrade to Vista (when it's available), is this going to place all that bloatware back on my comp? just got my dv6000t and i chose to just manually remove all that stuff and it would sure suck to have to do it all over again in a few months.

It might not install the bloatware, since the installation will be as an upgrade, i guess keeping all current softwares and files in the computer if I am not Wrong.

i don't think anyone knows for sure yet which way HP will go with their upgrade packs yet. Certainly, updated versions of all of the "bloatware" will be available on the upgrade discs, but whether you will HAVE to install it as part of the upgrade process is anyone's guess. If you're just looking for a guess, mine would be that you will only need to update the software that you actually have installed prior to upgrading -- whether that will be by HP's design or by a little creativity on the part of forum members here, though, I won't even hazard a guess.

oh well. i want the stuff gone right now anyways and i'll just do it all again if i have to. that's still a few months away if i remember correctly. assuming it does end up installing the bloatware, is the "reinstall" option out of the question then, since it's only an upgrade and you need the entire OS CD to do it? that would kind of suck for those that like the clean install.
