Hello all. Yesterday I just bought a brand new HP dv2120us. In the store, one thing that attracted me to this notebook was the look of it. I really liked the touch sensitive buttons for the media controls. The problem I have is the volume slider is kinda delayed. I slide my finger across it and the on screen volume display is about a second behind my finger. The one in the store did the same thing, but the salesman said it was just the display model gets so beat up. The HP 15" model next to it had the same touch sensitive buttons, but it's volume slider was instantaneous. No delay at all. So, is it a problem with just this model? Or just my computer? Or is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks for your time.

just picked up the dv2125nr from BestBuy last night. i get the same volume slider lag, it acts weird, like sometimes it will keep moving after my finger has left the touch-sensitive button. i didnt notice any display models acting differently, but i didnt really look at the 15" models. maybe they just work better. i dont mind, i'm happy with my 14"
PS. the salesmen were pretty un-knowledgable. if you can persuade one of the floor managers to help, that would be good, they tend to know more. -
Well, I went back and exchanged it for a dv6130us and it works MUCH better! The funny thing is the only difference between the two models is the screen size and the processor(dv6130us = Intel Core 2 Duo, dv21020us = AMD Turion 64 X2). I guess it had something to do with the processor/motherboard combo or maye just the processor. I don't know???? The salesman pointed out that if you right click on My Computer and go to Properties that the Intel lists two 1.66GHz processors and the AMD only lists one 1.61GHz processor. I didn't really understand what he was saying about how that effected anything, all I know is that this Core 2 Duo machine is running blazing fast and I love it!
CORE 2 DUO all the way!

good for you...
i'm sticking with my 14 incher -
How to show the slide bar from XP? I can show it in Ubuntu, but really have no idea how to set it up in XP Home.

The volume slider works pretty much instantly on my DV2000T with a Intel Core Duo. Sounds like it is just the AMD machines that have difficulty.
