My volume control is ok, but the yellow bar scale on my xp is not showing up.
I can open volume control and go up or down the scale ok.
Speakers work ok but no horz-bar showing up.
How do i get it back?

That volume bar is called On Screen Display (OSD). You or something might have disabled it in startup.

Go to run > MSCONFIG > Startup tab and look for it. If not, reinstalling this might also work but im not sure because its old.

Theres always third party apps that can give you on screen display.

    Thanks Flipfire.
    Photosmart startup was not working.
    Reinstalled and OSD is OK.
Thanks again for your info. ~~~~AL
