    Is there anyway to remove this feature?

    Anytime I want to change the volume during a game it minimizes the window.

    uninstall hp mediasmart smartmenu stuff.

    should get rid of HP's volume bar.


    if you still want to have a volume bar of sorts you can look into 3RVX (check page 1 of the owner's lounge or google it). 3rvx doesn't pop you out of fullscreen stuff.
