Supposedly that is correct, I have seen that more than once now. I for one am excited about the merge, because I have always drooled over voodoos, but quickly wiped it up after looking at the price, and I have had too many hp's to count. I think it was a good decision for both companies, Voodoo will have a MUCH bigger market to work with now, which could and probably will in turn make their costs go down at least some, which will in turn make them more money.

Yes here's our discussion and news of this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1597714
I was at the event last night where they announced it. -
I've always liked Voodoo. its too bad the merge won't mean a reduction in the pricing of their systems.

I think it'll be just the how Dell bought Alienware where Dell allowed Alienware to independently run their own business. As with the pricing goes, not sure if it would meaning lower prices for Voodoo.... but you knows.

Just saw VOODOO there prices are still really high. -
Voodoo has always been much pricier than Alienware. Alienware appeals to a much larger crowd of hardcore gamers with a budget while Voodoo appeals to people a lots of money and a taste for aesthetically pleasing notebooks that cost more per pound than gold. The two aren't really in the same category, though people tend to lump them in together.
