    I know this is a notebook forum, but do guys think that Voodoo will come out with a new desktop lineup when they release the new notebooks?

    A new desktop is on the way. It will be released at the same time as their new laptop.

    The new desktop is going to be sweet, somewhere between the Omen and blackbird.

    I own a few Voodoo's, and I know a lot of people at Voodoo.

    You can call them up if you woul like to know more, but they may not release the specs until its release ate on June 10th.
    I have no idea whats inside of it, all we know is that their will be a new desktop offered.

    Do you know if Voodoo will make their own chassis for their new desktop like they are supposedly doing for their new notebooks? And do you think this deal made with HP will finally lower the cost of these new products coming out this June?

    Voodoo has always made their own chassis for desktops. I think their second generation Omen was similar to a Lian Li case, but all others are all custom made. You will not be able to get a Voodoo desktop case from anywhere else.
    Their new laptop will be using a Voodoo/Hp designed chassis, rather than a Clevo, so stay tuned and you will see what it looks like.
    I do not think the influence of hp will drop prices, cause the computers are still made by Voodoo, and not Hp.

    Alienware's prices dropped by a lot when they were bought by Dell. I'd consider Voodoo's new laptop if it's actually on par with Voodoo's competition. If Voodoo really wants to make a lot of money on their new laptop they need to offer it at a reasonable price.

    Yeah I believe my Omen is a heavily modified Lian-li although it is literally HEAVILY modified. It is very heavy and the material is a LOT thicker, whether thats a good thing or not depends on you but it is DAMN heavy. On the good side, it shuts out the noise and it feels ROCK solid.
