Hi,
I am doing some research and realize that the sagers are cheaper and the same thing as what VOODOOpc.com offers and all that.
My question is not price related but quality: Has anyone had any possitive or negative feedback in dealing with www.voodoopc.com ?
Thanks,
Echo

echo-oche: I've purchased both a laptop and desktop from Voodoo in the past year or so. The laptop was an m:860 (Arima 730) and had the usual cracked hinges - repaired twice, but quickly and without any hassles. That situation was a result of poor design by Arima, so I don't hold Voodoo responsible.
The desktop, an air-cooled Rage, though, was a different matter. After about 10 months of ownership, the DVI signal failed. The machine went back to Canada for repair, and, I hoped, an upgrade to liquid-cooling. After way too many problems, miscommunications and delays, I became extremely upset with the lack of service and concern by Voodoo for a repeat customer and sounded off on the Voodoo boards. There was too much involved to explain all here, but, in the end, Voodoo's president expressed repeatedly via email, a desire to make things right. My machine was fixed under warranty, and upgraded with liquid-cooling as well as a brand-new chassis at Voodoo's expense. So, there was a temporary unpleasant situation, but Voodoo, in the end, came through very nicely in my situation.
A month ago I wouldn't have, but now do recommend Voodoo, as long as you're aware that you'll be paying a premium. What you'll actually be paying extra for is the service, and normally it's very good. If you haven't already, check ResellerRatings.com. -
Thanks BMWRob, I appreciate the genuine answer. They seem to be a pretty good company. The 2000.00 paint job is a little over the top, but then again if you want something "a little different" you have to pay for it I guess.
I'd love to hear from anyone else with comments regarding the Quality Control, and customer service of VoodooPC also.
Thanks,

If it's really higher, what makes them so expensive? Better support and gizmos?
Anyway, if I had the $ I'd like to have one of those!
Looks like its a Canadian Company too... Hurray! -
The part you missed was my first post in which I stated that " I understand other notebooks are cheaper... that I simply want to know the quality of their customer service".
The reason they charge a premium is because of the automotive finish paint job, and periphial packaged items they include. You pay a premium for the "glitz" which is simply fine if you don't mind spending the money on it, or if that is "what you want". Obviously people who are money conscious say its ridiculous. 'nuff said.
Anyway, long/short is I really am only concerned with understanding people's actual experiences in dealing with them.
Thanks,

Doh! Sorry about my post...
(time travel and delete post)
Anyway, I agree. If you have the $ go for whatever makes you happy!
I'm thinking about selling my soul or getting a porn career to get another 1000-2000$ for my next machine... Nah, I'd probably be too good at it and I'd have to kiss my social life goodbye... Social life for a serious gamer? Who am I kidding
Thanks for the answer.
Voodoo PC - good customer service or bad?
