Hallo I'm trying to install 7 on my 2530p. I checked on HP we site but no official drive for this OS. So I called the support and asked for more details. They said that there's no driver for the moment. Soon they will relase them. Now they suggested to use the vista buisness 64bit driver using the compatibility task. My question is about which driver should be installed and what is unnecessary.
thankyou

What drivers are missing?
Did you install Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?
Run Windows Update and install all Important Updates.
Then check for the "Optional" Updates and install everything except for the 34 language packs. Then check Device Manager for what is missing. If you installed 32bit version of Windows 7, then go to your driver page for Vista Business 32 bit and install what is needed (Quick Launch, Wireless Assistant, AMT Driver, Camera Driver, Modem etc)
You shouldn't have an issue finding all the drivers. -
I would like to istall Professional 64bit. There are a lot of driver that are not reconized. I found the Vista buisness 64bit driver on HP web site. They run fine. but I don't know wich one is necessary and wich is unnecessary.

After installing Windows 7 x64 on my 2530p I let Windows Update install all of the drivers it had. Once that was done I had to install the following drivers
HP Quicklaunch Buttons
ADI SoundMAX AD1984A Audio Driver
Synaptics Touchpad Driver
AuthenTec Fingerprint Driver
HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology
HP Wireless Assistant
HP 3D DriveGuard
Intel AMT Driver <-- this one needs to be installed using Vista comparability mode.
These are all Vista x64 drivers from HP's download site.
As for video drivers these are the newest available from Intel
