You have to jump on these things.... HP often ends the 30% rebates fairly quickly at times (well before the posted end date)... but they do state that it may end at anytime.

20% rebates are still around, I believe....

hehe. i was going to order on friday and it was already dead friday evening. have to wait for next time, i guess... if the deal is good, it will never last as long as it is posted to last. next time 30% comes along, i'm all over it.

This is simply inexcusable. HP should have waited until you bought it first and then they should have taken it off.

That's why you order it as soon as you see it instead of waiting around, thinking that the 30% will stay. ;)

We all know he's the center of the universe. HP can't possibly be a profitable company by not selling him a laptop. In fact, from what I heard, HP's giving him a free laptop and 3000 dollars to keep his loyalty.

Man - you guys gotta learn.

After the first 30% off debacle - tried ordering one and the coupon went out of commission hours before I placed my order - apparently hp tried to take the deal off for some people who got it though?

So a week ago, I randomly decided to search for some new coupons and BAM....new one up just that day and I was all over that - I made decisions and ordered one that night.

Gee, I wish I had thought of that.

I see plenty of coupons off inkjets and desktops, not the notebooks.

    What? I was being serious.
What's so bad about recommending google, when it's search results are saturated with sites that post HP coupons? You asked where they were posted...

Visit the first site listed on that search, xpbargains.com
They always have the latest, most up-to-date HP coupons.

If they have no notebook coupons listed, it means that there aren't any current notebook coupons!

However, it looks like they just posted up a new one... $200 off pavilions over $999 USD
    Code: NB1200

No, I didn't. I asked where the 20% coupon was that kept on getting mentioned. It didn't appear in any search I looked at, and is not listed at xpBargains. The $200 coupon was not on the xpBargains site yesterday when I looked, either.

I priced a dv5600z with the 30% coupon, compared to the one I priced for a friend (that he bought) with the 20% off coupon. They must have raised prices before putting the 30% coupon out because we didn't save another 10%... we got the webcam added and saved maybe a smidge more but that's it. Nothing huge.

As to where you get coupons. I usually look on http://www.cheapstingybargains.com/

At the same time that they had the 30% off, they also had $50 for 2 gb of ram... the only price increase was putting the 2gb ram at $100 again, which was the original cost. They have been running that ram special on and off over the last couple of months....

Outside of that, I know for a fact that they have not increased prices... I'd been looking since June/July... I had various screen prints of builds and their costs. That is why the 30% was so appealing, it was a true decrease in cost.

I don't know if it's just me...but the laptop I configured last night on the APP program for 759.15 is now gone and replaced by one $100 more...

It seems they have removed the instant $100 dollar savings. Is anyone else seeing this? If so, I'm crushed, today was finally the day I could afford it.

EDIT: Guess I shouldn't complain...I can spend $40 more and get upgrades that yesterday were worth $170. Woo.

Yeah, I realized that, but I mean even without the coupon, it appears as though the $100 savings just plain isn't there anymore. Bummer.

But no big deal, I just (finally) ordered my new system for $802.99, even though when I built it the total came to $1002.99. I think I love coupons.

I don't think garetjax realized that Google is a GREAT way to look for obscure coupons. Especially Dell ones.

I don't think surfasb realizes that a reply to a thread asking about a coupon should be glib or flippant. The whole defacto "go to Google" reply is getting long in the tooth now.

Besides, we weren't talking about -Dell- coupons, now were we? I don't think you realize that the coupon in question was concerning an HP laptop. However, I digress...

Is it just me or there is no place to type in the coupon code in the checkout screen? It seems like the 20% off code is automatically applied for everybody who wants to buy the dv9500t.

It's a few steps into the checkout phase. before you enter any payment info though.

Also, WHAT 20% off code? What's the code?

There was a link to some hp coupons on this website, but i don't have the link. The code is NB1200 i think. And btw it's not 20% off, it's mislabeled, it's actually 200 dollars off.
