I've got a really irritating problem on my 8510p. When I first used the computer there was an option to select what the wireless on/off button would activate, I selected bluetooth and wifi as these were the ones I wanted to use at the time.

However now I want to use the WWAN card. I've put the sim card in my computer, I can see the card in my device manager correctly installed, but I can't see any software to let me use it to connect to the internet!!!

    Any help/ideas greatly appreciated :)

I do have a program called "HP WWAN Setup Utility" which seems hopeful, but it all it seems to do is play a macromedia movie about how wonderful WWAN is then turns off.

Bah, of course seconds after writing the original post I discovered the HP connection manager. It can detect my WWAN card fine, the only problem is that it says that it's MEP locked and I need to enter the special code...

Did you install the proper drivers? Trying a reformat might fix that and install the drivers from the driver CD supplied.

I've tried both the original drivers from the cd and the latest drivers from the website. Both ask me for an MEP code. I'm also still unable to locate the menu which gave me the original option to select which functions the wireless quick launch button activated...

My understanding is that the MEP is the code that will unclock the wireless cards to work with other service providers...

I've still not been able to bring up the options/configuration of the wireless quicklaunch button... If anyone knows where they are I'd be very grateful for the knowledge.
