    Hey Guys,
I'm in Montreal and am in the process of getting ready to purchase a laptop for grad school and IT Consulting. After weeks of research I am just about ready to settle for the DV2000T but I am waiting for it to arive in Canada.
Does anyone have any ideas when/where it will be coming in? Most companies do a North American launch, not just U.S. :(
Oh well! I'll keep on waiting, but if it gets too close to mid August i'm going to have to find a second option.
If anyone has any idea of a timeframe, please let me know!
    THANKS!

Yeah, I'm as anxious as you are. If push comes to shove I'll just get one of my relatives in the states to grab one for me.

Ya it's almost tempting to do that. I don't live far from NY border (about 1 hour away), so in theory I can drive to buy one. What stores carry it, do you know?

I agree this is quite ridiculous. I was definitely willing to wait. However the more and more time that passes I am starting to think that this may reflect HP's perspective on the Canadian market. It is the exact same laptop as the U.S one, there should not be this much of a delay.

Yeah, they don't seem to be in too big of a rush to get products to Canada. I e-mailed hp just to see what they would say. The reply I recieved pretty much stated they could not divulge any infomoration regarding any launch dates for products. boourns to that!

I just called them to see if they have availability. They are like "it will normally come out about 4-5 months after released in the U.S".

Oh wow look at that, bestbuy has that model in stock. Only problem as you know is it isn't priced well and options aren't that great. This is GOOD news though, more should be on their way.

There is no Circuit City in Canada. Unless you mean TheSourceCC but they don't carry it yet I don't think.
