My dv6700t is in production, so it will take some time to come, but I also wanted to order some connecting cables from internet to connect it to my tv.. I looked for a cable that could convert HDMI to S-Vid or RCA, but couldnt find any such thing. I have one tv with S-video input and another with just RCA inputs..Does anyone know if a cable with S-video plug on one end and both S-video and RCA video plugs on another end is available?

Also could someone please tell me how many pins does S-Video output has on dv6700t series notebook.. is it 4-pin or 7-pin??? (in case if its 7-pin) There are some S-Video cables with 7-pin connector on one end and three RCA adaptors on another.. does that mean 7-pin S-Video cable also carries audio thru it?? It will be good buy if it does/

    Thanks for help folks!!

S-video only carry video. That would be the only option you have to connect your PC to your TV. Any S-video cable will do the trick. If you want audio, you can get a Y cable. 1 side is the audio Jack 3.5mm (standard size), and in the other side are the two RCAs left and right (red and white).

if your connecting to a HDTV, Svideo will not carry the signal. HD boxes dont even have svideo outputs

try a HDMI to DVI cable.

I agree with phifer, monoprice is the place to go. You'll want to look for a DVI to RCA cable, or a HDMI to RCA cable. I'd say the former is probably a lot more easy to find (I don't even know if there's such a thing as a HDMI to RCA cable).
