    since i know this post would be buried if i posted in the owners lounge.. (so bare with me mods.. please let me have this up..)
    does the envy have a 5.1 card in it? or...?


    and along with your suggestions could you tell me how the envy 14's single headphone jack would work with a 5.1 sound card? how would i set it up?

    I think you need a USB 5.1 sound card.

    AFAIK you can't pull 5 channels magically out of just 2

    oh, and there are some USB gaming headsets. i suggest you look into those (if you're not going to use it for anything else)
