I have used this power adapter for about 1 year, it is excellent for travel because it is much slimmer than the HP factory power brick and it has a USB port for charging cell phones.

However, I would like to warn other Envy laptop owners about a significant defect.

If your battery is completely drained, you cannot boot Windows using this adapter. It's very strange because you can run BIOS and System recovery, but when you try to boot Windows the laptop immediately shuts down.

If your battery is not completely drained (not sure if there is a specific limit as to how much the battery must be charged), the power adapter works like a charm.

Not sure if this is limited to quad core CPUs or Envy 15 models only.
