So recently I went on HP's website and noticed that they aren't offering the HP Envy 15 32xx anymore. Instead, the Pavillion line is the new Envy. So there is the possibility that the HP Envy 15 32xxx line has been discontinued. I bought my Envy along with a 3yr accidental damage and onsite warranty and I was wondering if I were to make a warranty claim down the road, would HP honor it even though they may no longer be making this model? Ive read many threads where people said that HP would not honor the warranty for discontinued products and I was worried the same might happen to me. Assuming that they can't fix my laptop because its no longer in production, would HP refund me the cost of the laptop+warranty?
Thanks for you help. This is really bothering me because i need this laptop for college and if I can't be sure that it will be fixed down the road I'd like to somehow get my money back and get something else.

HP should be able to honor your warranty claim as long as you have an active warranty plan with them. It does not matter whether the notebook has been discontinued or if it has reached end-of-life status.
If the notebook cannot be repaired due to supply issues and the claim is valid, HP may provide you with the opportunity to upgrade to a newer notebook of an equivalent caliber. Of course, this all depends on who you talk to as experiences can vary widely. -
HP doesn't have a choice but to honor your warranty, it is a legally binding agreement. If they can't replace the laptop with an equivalent model, they would have to reimburse you the price of the unit. Chances are, though, that HP has many refurbished Envys on hand for warranty replacements.
In the event that HP cannot replace your computer with a like or better unit, they would refund just the cost of the laptop, not the warranty, as they would be honoring the warranty by reimbursing you for it, and you would not be due a refund on the price of the warranty.
