Hey guys, I’m jumping ship from DELL to HP (hope I make a wise choice haha) I am looking at purchasing the Envy 14 from the United States configured to be around $1,400 (with coupon) much more expensive in Australia.

The problem is I live in Australia (I’m sure they don’t send to Australia – but that’s not a problem). My question is if I get the HP Care Pack services, will or can I transfer warranty from USA to Australia???

I’m hoping there are a few Aussies around who might know.

    Thanks guys and girls

Not sure if this is much help but I'm an Aussie living in London and purchased a customised Envy 14 from the US and had a friend bring it over. The left speaker wasn't working so HP UK picked it up and repaired it and I should have it back today. I didn't purchase any extra warranty so I assume it was covered under the initial 12 month warranty. I mistakenly assumed it would be very difficult to get my US purchased laptop serviced by HP UK but it hasn't been a problem at all. Hopefully HP Australia are just as amenable!

are you sure its much more in australia? i got mine here (melbourne) as soon as it was available to jbhifi (not even on display) and it was 1700, and i believe people are getting them a fair bit cheaper now, a few months later. i didnt want to wait, but ive seen people on the whirlpool envy thread recently getting them for about 1500 and below from high street stores.

or are you going for an unusual spec? im not sure on the deal with radiance displays are still in australia (when i got mine there wasnt even an option to not get a radiance display..), but they look to be fairly out in the us.

I think its the standard spec, i was having a look at it on the Australian HP website - Envy 14 Beat Edition, which "standard" was/is going for $2,300, where as same Spec on the US site went for $1,400, and I saw a $200 off cupon as well.

I might need to physically go into a store and check it out...
