    Hi Guys,
I have a HP Laptop G6-2228se which i bought last year. My warranty expired at start of this month.
The problem with my laptop is hard disc failure. My hard disc is not recognized any more. i tried a different hard disc and it works fine.I have a 'Samsung Seagate 750GB hard disc'

Normally hard discs, i think, carry a 5 year warranty, if not the at least 3 yrs, i m pretty sure.

So my question is that can i take this hard disc to samsung service center and claim the warranty???

    Regards.

And they will tell you that it is an OEM drive (sold to laptop manufacturer in millions of units) with no warranty on their behalf.
It came with the computer, it is part of the computer, it has the warranty of the computer.

If you had bought it separately from a store or online, things would be different.
