Just bought this bad boy in November but notice erosion in the center of the keypad. Anyone else have a similar problem? A hole in the middle.

I've had my l2000 for 7-8 months now and I do notice wearing out of the keyboard. Especially the F, H and Space keys, really glossy. It's noticable on direct day light.
    So, yes.

    Hi Sll,
Suggestion......buy a wireless keyboard and mouse for home use. My thinking on this was that the Logitech keyboard and mouse I bought cost $30, that helps preserve my built in keyboard and touch pad, and it may prevent me from haviing to send my lappy away to some unknown environment for a keyboard repair, replacement visit.

And yeah there is a shiney spot in the middle of the touch pad from wear. I wonder if they used too soft a plastic in order to help with the "feel" of the tap-click function.
