Hi, everyone. I have just joined and have this question. I have had my Compaq Presario CQ61 for just under 2 years. This morning for the first time, it suddenly began chirping at me like a little bird. It would not stop until I closed it. A friend has suggested that it may have a weather bug in it that detects impending storms. We do not get many, or even very real, storms where I am, which could account for why I have never heard it before. However, today is warm and sunny and tranquil. Of course this does not mean that a storm is not coming.

If these models do not have weather bugs, does anyone know what else it could be, please?

I am answering my own post. While I do feel slightly foolish, I am also laughing so hard I can hardly type. The reason for the chirping was in fact a little bird. In the game I was playing. I did not see it the first time, probably because I was alarmed by it and shut my laptop, so it stopped. I just went back in and, chirping. Then I saw it. Tiny little fellow, trilling it's heart out, so loud it filled the room.
