Yea so I have been on Tech support with 4 different people from hp all not helping. My webcam Stopped working recently with quick play I don’t know when it stopped just noticed it. They have brought me through driver installs, flashing my bios, and a bunch of other things. My webcam does not work in quick play or any other app that I have. I used the drivers that hp gave me. Also I had to restore my system to 2 days before because all of my drivers were screwed up.

PLZ anyone help. The last tech guy wants me2 send my notebook in for repair because he thinking it’s a hardware issue. I don’t believe it is because I haven’t banged around my computer at all and was working perfectly before. I'm in college and can’t be away from my computer for more than like 24hrs. I could really use a solution and I beg you all to help me.

    Im Desperate plz help

Does it work in other programs? Or just not QuickPlay? I don't know what model laptop you have, but this solution worked for me on my DV6000T.

If the light goes on, that usually means it's working. I noticed you mentioned that Dorgem just shows you a black preview screen, but the light is on. That's a problem with Dorgem, not the camera. (Dorgem actually will take the picture fine, but the preview is broken.) That happens with me at times too. Try in something else that uses the webcam, like an IM program, or muVee AutoProducer.
