    Hi notebookreview,

My webcam used to work and now it doesn't. It's something I can't find in device manager... moreover, I can't find any drivers for it on HP's website. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this??

The webcam is USB. Even if you did not have a driver, Windows (provided it was detected) would perform a search for the correct software. So no - IMO, this is not a software/driver issue.

If scanning for hardware changes via the device manager and rebooting doesn't yield you any better results, then my first instinct would be to open the notebook up and re-seat the dongle where it connects to the mainboard. Should that fail, then you may wish to open the display bezel to check whether or not the short exsists there.
