I want to make a bass cover video and i want to record video and audio separately, then mix together later on. The problem im having is the webcam records audio too so i need to figure out how to turn the audio recording off for the webcam, but not for the program im recording the bass through. Im plugging my instrument cable DI into the mic jack, so im not sure how this could work?

Sorry if the post is confusing, i dont really know how to explain it. If it helps any i will most likley be using windows movie maker to put the audio and video files together. Oh and i have vista, and its the built in webcam. Thanks for your time!
