Can anyone recommend a good software (preferably free) that I can use to take and save videos and images with my build in webcam on my dv2000t?

    u don't need any.
just hit the circle button next to dvd, and then u will see the movie reel/tv/music symbol.. click that, and u will see HP webcam. Click HP webcame, u can click play, or the picture button. whichever makes u happy, and ur good to go.

i did a clean install of vista so i've lost the quickplay, and as i didn't really care for it in the first place (seemed like poor man's WMC), some 3rd party software would be appreciated
