Alright so ive got a pavilion dv6000, came with Vista, but i downgraded awhile back to xp and have not gotten quickplay again. I used to access my webcam through quickplay, but since I no longer have it I do not know how I can get my built in webcam to work. Please dont tell me its only compatible with quickplay in vista? Theres got to be another solution...

What is the exact model of your computer? is it just plain dv6000?

If so, try THESE Webcam drivers. And THESE as well if those dont work. ;)

Those are for the dv6000, if you have a different model (ie: dv6500), they are different drivers, so post back and tell me please. :)

Yes, it is the dv6000 CTO. The problem is NOT the drivers. Its the lack of an application to actually display the image. Like when I had Vista, I would open up quickplay and go to web cam and would see my image because the webcam is built in and pointed right at me. I have the drivers installed, and the camera icon is in the tray in the bottom right corner, right clicking on it brings up options of on, off, 50khz, 60, and exit. Yet, there is no way to bring up the image because the lack of an actual application (like quickplay).

You might try Yawcam. I think my friend used this with his Vostro 1400.. don't know if he still does.
