    Weird check mark things

    so after 4 returns and exchanges, i finally have a dv5t that is working functunally for more than 4 hours.
    WOW lol

    anyway
    i got a geeksquad optimized one because they were out of regular HP ones

    and on EVERY icon there is a little check-mark box that appears if i scroll over the box.
    how do i get rid of that?

    What do those "little check-mark box"es look like?

    Can you post a screenshot of any of those?

    Open Folder Options--> View tab & uncheck the "Use check boxes to select items' entry.
